Mountains that inspire

The Cursafosca crosses the most emblematic spots of Torrelles de Foix, such as the Santuari de Foix, a site of great historical value, and other paths that wind through the woods and vineyards so characteristic of the Penedès.

Runners can take in magnificent panoramic views of the region, with the mountains of the Garraf range and the surroundings of the ring of the Prades Mountains tracing a spectacular silhouette, especially at night, when the moon lights up the paths and woods around the route.

A journey through the village and its nature

The race takes you through the loveliest corners of Torrelles de Foix, along rural tracks and small woods known for their peace and natural beauty. Runners not only enjoy a sporting challenge; they also get the chance to discover the history of the village and its surroundings.

The route takes in emblematic spots such as the Pont de la Rasa, which crosses the river Foix, and the path to the font dels Giberts, where participants can rest and recharge before continuing on towards the Santuari.

Since the very beginning we have worked to organise a race that respects its environment. We strive to reduce the environmental impact of every edition, adopting sustainable practices that help preserve the land around us.

One of our main goals is to minimise the race's ecological footprint. From choosing eco-friendly materials for our runner packs to managing the aid stations responsibly, every detail of the Cursafosca is designed to keep its impact on the environment as low as possible.

We have also put measures in place to keep waste off the trails and to promote recycling and reuse. With this attitude we want to educate and inspire participants to care for their environment, both during the race and in everyday life.

Awareness and collaboration with local initiatives

We are also committed to local initiatives for the conservation of nature and the environment. Through collaborations with local organisations and projects, we aim to foster a culture of respect for and protection of our land.

Part of the funds raised during the race also goes to ecological restoration projects and to preserving the ecosystems around Torrelles de Foix.
