Organisation and date

Cursafosca 2026, "the Penedès semi-nocturnal race", is organised by Torrelles de Foix Town Council, BTT Els Navegants and the race organisation, and takes place on 21 November 2026.

Times and starts

• Trail 21K: 16:45 from Carrer del Casal, Torrelles de Foix.
• Cursa 14K: 17:15 from Carrer del Casal, Torrelles de Foix.
• Caminada 12K: 17:15 from Carrer del Casal, Torrelles de Foix.

The race is open to everyone. Under 18s must present a parental consent form, downloadable from this website, to be handed in at bib collection.

Distances and elevation gain

• Trail: 21 km with 1,050 m of elevation gain.
• Cursa: 14 km with 512 m of elevation gain.
• Caminada: 12 km with 396 m of elevation gain.

Course description

The courses run through landmark spots in and around Torrelles de Foix. The trails are marked with tape and reflective markers, and volunteers staff the critical points of the route.

Course and safety

Time limits

4 hours for the Trail 21K and 3 hours for the Cursa 14K. The Caminada 12K has 3 h 45 min, with the finish line closing at 3 h 30 min.

Participants must compete running, except walkers on the Caminada 12K, which is non-competitive.

Cut-offs

Cut-off times are expressed as race time from the start of each route.

Road safety

The roads crossed by the races are open to traffic. However, marshals are posted at the key points to make sure runners cross safely. It is important to follow the instructions of the organisation's staff.

Vehicles and animals

Only vehicles authorised by the organisation may drive on the course. Pets are allowed on a lead, with prior permission from the organisation.

Registration and fees

Opening date: 10 August at 14:00. Closing date: 8 November at 23:59. Registration is on Weevens.

Prices

The price table in the original rules starts on 02/08/26, a week before registration opens. The first tier applies from opening day, 10 August.

Entry limit and place management

The maximum number of entries per race is limited. However, the organisation reserves the right to raise or lower this limit depending on demand or low take-up in any of the races.

Registration confirmation

Your entry is only valid once the corresponding payment is made. Once completed, you will receive an email with a summary of the details you entered (name, age, email, etc.) and a security code to manage any change or cancellation yourself. It is very important that you keep this code.

To avoid problems with spam filters, we recommend checking your junk folder to make sure our messages reach your inbox.

Waiting list

When registration closes because entries have sold out, the platform lets you join a waiting list, ordered by registration date. If a bib becomes available, you will receive an email with a link to complete the payment. You have 48 hours from receiving the message to complete the process, so keep an eye on your inbox.

If the payment deadline passes, we will take it that you have given up the bib and it will go to the next person on the list. Remember that this is irreversible.

Distance changes

Distance changes are allowed only to a shorter distance. If you want to move down to a shorter distance, you can do so up to one week before the event. Moving up to a longer distance is not allowed.

Bib name changes

Up to one week before the event you may change the name on your bib, transferring it to another person. After that deadline no further name changes are allowed. Transferring a bib without notifying the organisation leads to disqualification from the race, and both the runner using another participant's bib and the one transferring it are excluded from future editions of the race.

Withdrawal policy

Registration fees are not refunded if a participant withdraws. However, name changes are allowed up to one week before the event, as long as the new participant meets the participation requirements.

What is included

The registration fee includes accident insurance, timing, ambulance on standby, a sandwich and drink at the finish, a hoodie, a finisher medal, aid stations along the course, bag drop and participant photos.

All services included in the registration fee are subject to availability.

Cancellation

The organisation reserves the right to cancel the event at any time before the start if participants' physical safety is at risk due to weather or external factors. In that case no registration fees are refunded. Participants receive the gifts associated with their entry (such as the hoodie, the finisher medal and our sponsors' gifts) on the day of the event, at the bib collection point.

Bib collection

Bibs can be collected on race day at the Casal Torrellenc in Torrelles de Foix: from 14:30 to 16:30 for the Trail and from 14:30 to 16:45 for the Cursa and the Caminada.

Bibs must be collected within these hours. Uncollected bibs forfeit the associated gifts.

Kit

You must wear your bib visibly, with the built-in chip. All participants must also carry a headlamp, for their safety on the night course, and a charged mobile phone.

Environmental commitment

Respect for the environment

Dropping litter outside the designated areas at aid stations or anywhere else on the course is not only disrespectful to the environment: it also leads to immediate disqualification.

Protecting the environment

Every participant is committed to preserving the environment. The organisation looks after the land and asks runners to follow the environmental rules during the race.

Liability and insurance

Liability

The organisation is not liable for physical, moral or material damage caused by participants or spectators. Participants take full responsibility for their health and safety during the event.

Duty to assist

If you witness an accident during the race, you must help or report it to the nearest checkpoint. Failing to do so leads to the participant's immediate disqualification.

Reporting a withdrawal

If you decide to drop out of the race, tell the nearest checkpoint. It lets the organisation keep you safe and keep the participant register up to date.

Accident insurance

Participants are covered by accident insurance for any eventuality during the race, from the start to the end of the event.

Images and personal data

Participants authorise the use of their image, name and results in photographic and audiovisual coverage of the race. Personal data is used solely for purposes related to the event, in accordance with current legislation.
